Insomniax

Insomniax is a collaboration of two producers, Renzo (Damien Fellows) and Freshold (Oliver Millin) hailing from the South West, UK. Renzo and Freshold have both been devoted to making dance music since the early rave days of the 90s.

After getting their tunes into the hands of Viper Recordings boss Futurebound, the duo was signed to the label in 2014 and made their debut on the prestigious Headroom EP series with the track ‘Digital Murder’. Following their Viper debut, they released two tracks ‘Can’t Resist’ and ‘Over Again VIP’ which were featured on Viper’s Drum & Bass Summer Slammers 2014 album, along with an exclusive DJ mix by Insomniax. The duo then went on to work with Viper Recordings artists, Six Blade, to produce ‘Contact’ which was released on Viper’s 10 year anniversary album, ‘Decade’, and in 2015 ‘Do You Remember’ feat Alicia King was released on Viper’s Sound of Drum N Bass Album

‘Lunar Dub’ featured on Viper’s Drum & Bass Annual 2016 album, followed by the Insomniax debut single on Viper VIP with ‘Uridium / Longest Night’. After their colab with Trei ‘Pulling Teeth’ which featured on Viper’s 100th release, their Debut Viper Single ‘Crying Rain/Facehugger’ and ‘Goldsmith Road'(featured on Summer Slammers 2017) all received heavy support on radio 1 and 1xtra, the duo began to pick up the pace with Their Single ‘Gravitron'(their first track ever featured on Noisia Radio), their remixes of Cianna Blaize’s ‘Crazy’ and Koven’s ‘Pessimist’ and their vocal track ‘Flyhiya’ feat Lydia Kaye all released in the space of 3months.

The next instalment from Insomniax was a solo release from Ollie Freshold entitled “Foghorn” which again turned heads with its forward thinking and out of the box concept. Following Foghorn another 2 solo singles from Freshold forthcoming as part of his V7 Saxon St series. Part 1 featured the old school Ram sounding “origin” and on the flip to that the atmospheric and nostalgic “One more Time”

With huge support for their tracks from all the biggest dnb names including Andy C, DJ Hype, Matrix and Futurebound, Brookes Brothers, Noisia, Calyx n Teebee, Audio, Inside Info, Fred V and Grafix and loads more + a glut of new music and colabs on the way.. there is plenty to come from Insomniax!
